Information by County  Montgomery County residents can view the full list of voting dates, polling hours, polling sites or check voter registration by visiting www.MontgomeryVotes.org or calling the Montgomery County Elections Office at 936-539-7843. Harris County residents can view the full list of voting dates, polling hours, polling sites or check voter registration by visiting www.HarrisVotes.org  or calling the Harris County Election Information Line at 713-755-6965. Ballot Information: Township PropositionsResidents of The Woodlands can vote "for" or "against" the propositions shown below: THE WOODLANDS TOWNSHIP – PROPOSITION AAuthorizing the Type-A city incorporation of The Woodlands Township District and the adoption of an initial property tax rate of not more than $0.2231 per one hundred dollars ($100) valuation of taxable property THE WOODLANDS TOWNSHIP – PROPOSITION BUpon incorporation of The Woodlands Township District into a Type-A General Law City to be called the City of The Woodlands, the transfer of the rights, powers, privileges, duties, purposes, functions, responsibilities, the authority to issue bonds, and the authority to impose taxes from The Woodlands Township District to the City of The Woodlands.  Township residents can access a variety of resources regarding the Incorporation election at www.thewoodlandsincorporationstudy.com.  Trying to understand the differences between the current form of government and a City of The Woodlands? Here's more information: Ballot Information: Township DirectorsAdditionally, three at-large positions on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will be elected in the November 2021 election, designated as positions 5, 6 and 7.  Ballot positions for candidates are as follows:  Position #5 Position #6 Position #7 Each office carries a two-year term, and all three positions are elected at large by voters in The Woodlands Township in both Montgomery and Harris County. Per the Township's enabling legislation, a Director is not entitled to compensation for service on the Board. Voting InformationTo vote in The Woodlands Township election, you must be a registered voter in the county of your residence and a resident of The Woodlands Township. The Woodlands Township contracts with Montgomery County and Harris County to manage elections in their respective areas of the Township. Each county will post their results on Election Night in accordance with their own standard procedures, which may include partial results while the precinct-by-precinct count is being completed. The County Election websites are www.MontgomeryVotes.org and www.HarrisVotes.org. All results are unofficial until the Township election is canvassed at The Woodlands Township Board of Directors meeting which could take place, at the earliest, late next week. The Woodlands Township's website (www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov) will include unofficial results from the 2021 Incorporation and Board of Directors Elections. The Township Election unofficial results, which do not include provisional votes, are expected to be posted Tuesday night, November 2, 2021, once the full unofficial results for all Township precincts have been posted by both the Montgomery County and Harris County election offices. The link to these consolidated results will also be posted in the election section of the website and a press release will be posted on the homepage. Staff will be monitoring the County Election sites until 11 p.m. on Election Night in order to consolidate the unofficial results; however, in the event that all Township precinct returns are not available by 11 p.m., staff will post the consolidated unofficial results and the press release on the morning of Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
