Editor's note: This story was updated at 11:08 p.m. MISSOURI CITY, TX — Missouri City voters cast their ballots Tuesday for City Council races and city bond propositions. In early returns, Reginald Pearson and Monica Riley are in a tight race in City Council District A to replace Councilwoman Cheryl Sterling, who opted not to run for re-election. Riley led Pearson 399 votes to 355 and fellow challenger Bruce Zaborowski had 35. District B incumbent Jeffrey Boney has a large lead over Everett Land in the other contested race. Two candidates are running for City Council seats unopposed — Anthony Maroulis and Floyd Emery. Voters also cast their ballots for or against eight Texas Constitutional Amendment propositions.
