MERCER COUNTY, NJ - Families across Mercer County can now get their 5- to 11-year-olds vaccinated against COVID-19, the County announced Wednesday evening. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approved emergency use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday. Read more here: NJ Ready As CDC Approves Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine For Kids 5-11 The New Jersey Department of Health authorized hospitals and other vaccination sites to begin vaccinating this age group Wednesday morning. Mercer County will provide doses of the pediatric Pfizer vaccine at pop-up clinics on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 4 and 5. Due to a limited supply of doses, appointments must be scheduled through the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System at https://covidvaccine.nj.gov. Thursday's pop-up clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CURE Insurance Arena, 81 Hamilton Ave., Trenton. The Mobile vaccination unit is outside Gate A. On Friday, the clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Trenton Farmers Market, 960 Spruce St., Lawrence. Clinic will be at a heated tent outside. The Johnson & Johnson and Moderna COVID vaccines will be available for ages 18 and up, and the Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 and up. No appointment is necessary for those age groups. All minors must be accompanied by an adult and have parent/guardian consent.
