Austin PD Makes Arrest In Wells Fargo Robbery Case

AUSTIN, TX — A 36-year-old man was arrested last week in connection to a bank robbery at a central Austin Wells Fargo on Oct. 28. Marcus Rowe was arrested Thursday after police say he went inside a Wells Fargo at 1201 Barbara Jordan that same day and handed a bank teller a note demanding a large sum of cash. Police say the robbery happened around 9:46 a.m. when Rowe entered the bank demanding the bank teller to give him money before fleeing the area. Live in Austin? Officers were able to find and arrest Rowe without incident on the same day, authorities said. The robbery marks the 9th case in Austin in 2021.
