Press release from Shreve Memorial Library: November 3, 2021 Shreve Memorial Library joins thousands of libraries around the world in observance of International Games Week. The week-long celebration starts Monday, November 8 and runs through Saturday, November 13. Shreve Memorial Library's International Games Week event features interactive games such as video, card and board games! Gaming enthusiasts of all ages are encouraged to participate. All activities are free to the public, and games are provided. Shreve Memorial Library North Shreveport Branch will kick off International Games Week with BINGO on Monday, November 8 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Gamers will win great prizes and share in the excitement of yelling "BINGO!" All ages are invited to participate. The game will be held in the meeting room at the branch, located at 4844 North Market Street. The Broadmoor Branch invites children, teens and families to play games on Tuesday, November 9 and Wednesday, November 10. On Tuesday, teens are invited to play rounds of video games and board games from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Then from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., everyone is encouraged to play the board game Cards Against Humanity – Family Edition. Families and groups with players ages 8 and up are invited to participate. On Wednesday, children ages 6 to 10 will have their turn at playing rounds of video games and board games at the branch from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. All games will take place in the meeting room at the branch, located at 1212 Captain Shreve Drive.  Also on Wednesday, November 10, the David Raines Branch will host Game Knights. Families, friends and gaming enthusiasts are invited to learn and play board games, card games, and more. Both beginners and seasoned players are encouraged to participate. Game Knights will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the meeting room at the branch, located at 2855 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. This press release was produced by Shreve Memorial Library.
