Press release from College of Charleston: October 22, 2021 The College of Charleston Department of Athletics has announced plans to pursue funding to make state-of-the-art improvements to the Patriots Point Athletics Complex. Director of Athletics Matt Roberts informed the College's Board of trustees about the multimillion-dollar capital project during a meeting on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021. The estimated $14 million project, designed in coordination with McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture firm, seeks to equip the CofC baseball and tennis programs with the facilities necessary to remain competitive both within the Colonial Athletic Association and the national landscape. "Since 2001, the Patriots Point Athletic Complex has served as the home for hundreds of CofC student-athletes competing in the sports of baseball, soccer, softball and tennis," Roberts said. "We are thrilled to launch a capital campaign that will address our facilities needs and elevate the the student-athlete experience for many years to come."
