PORTSMOUTH, RI — Portsmouth residents voted to approve two local bond questions, one that will go towards school repairs, and the other to create affordable housing for the elderly, according to unofficial results. Residents voted 2,164-1,330 in favor of Question 1, which allocates $21.4 million for school repairs. Superintendent Thomas Kenworthy told Patch that it "makes the best overall sense to improve our schools."
