Foster Homes Needed If you love dogs and want to help rescue, then we want you… We need approved people to foster 1 or 2 of our dogs until they find loving forever homes. We supply 3 months of heartworm prevention, and a leash and collar; all you have to supply is the love. The dogs will come to you already vetted and all we ask is that you take them into your home and treat them just like one of your own until we find them the best possible home. You will have to fill out a foster home application. Please go to the All American Dachshund Rescue (AADR) website (www.allamericandachshundrescue.org) to the HOW CAN I HELP TAB to fill out an application to become a Foster/Volunteer. We ask that our dog be kept inside except to potty and exercise. A fenced in yard is best but if no fence then they have to be on leash at all times. Being a foster parent for a dog that comes to you scared and un-socialized is very rewarding when you watch them go to their new homes a different dog and know that you were a part in showing that dog how to trust again. Many times the forever family will send you pictures and updates for years to come. Please consider fostering! FOSTER DISCLAIMER – potential foster homes must meet the following requirements for any animals currently living in the home: 1) ALL current dogs must be on heartworm preventative, 2) ALL current dogs must be spayed/neutered, and 3) ALL current dogs must be up-to-date on immunizations. Application process/approval and yearly membership fee apply for all of our Foster Homes. If you are interested in fostering, please read the Foster Guidelines and complete a Foster Application. All dachshunds are UTD on all shots, including rabies, heartworm tested and on preventative, spayed/neutered; micro-chipped and have had dental work/cleanings if needed.
