Our nursery, Nature's Best Nursery, is located in the Nolensville, TN area. We are one of the largest producers of annual and perennial flowers in middle Tennessee. We also grow herbs, vegetables, ground cover, grasses and house plants, to name just some of the others.
Even if you don't have this experience, we will bring you in on the ground floor and train you.
The main qualifications for this job are: experience in germination, sticking cuttings, transplanting, knowledge of the different water requirements of our crops, the ability to identify when a plant is stressed, diseased or has pest problems. Three other important qualifications are to have a basic understanding of greenhouse operations, the ability to work with our customers and the ability to work well with others.
A horticultural degree is a big plus. But not necessary.
The job will require some weekend hours and overtime during the planting seasons. The physical requirements of this job include long periods of standing, bending, walking and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and the ability to work in hot or cold conditions. A clean driver's license is a plus, and a background check for drugs/alcohol as well as a criminal history check may be required.
