Strongsville Passes School Levy, District Thanks Community

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Residents approved a levy for the Strongsville Schools on Tuesday. Issue 68 received 6,386 votes, approximately 55 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. The district said it will use the levy's funds to update technology and textbooks, support extracurricular activities and open opportunities for students. "Today is not the end of a campaign, but marks the continuation of our daily efforts to do whatever it takes for our students and the community we serve," said Cameron Ryba, superintendent of Strongsville Schools. The levy provides $8.4 million to the district for operating expenses. District officials said the levy's passage will ensure Strongsville Schools are financially stable through at least the 2026-2027 school year. Passage of this levy allows our District to maintain financial stability and to continue to provide the very best opportunities for our students. As a Board, we are committed to being good financial stewards of the resources our community has approved for us and utilizing every dollar to deliver exceptional educational value," said Richard Micko, Strongsville Board of Education president.
