Description
(*Sorry- not sure why pictures come out sideways... I can email pics if interested) This 2.5 year old husky girl is an absolute delight! She is smaller for a husky, about 45lbs, has a unique tan coat and bi-colored eyes (blue and orange) She is incredibly cuddly and affectionate once she gets to know you, and is very adaptable to however you'd like to spend time with her. As long as she gets exercise (playing with other dogs, or nice walks) she will be very happy and bring playful cuteness to your home! She also would need a fenced in backyard, or space to roam and run daily. She doesn't try to run away, but she does like to wander so having a contained space is helpful. She can be excitable, like most huskies, so she needs to be with someone who has experience with big dogs, can appreciate the joyful energy, and can continue her training. She's great with most med/big dogs and will play for hours. Currently, her only challenge is that she is very insecure and we think she has been quite traumatized as a puppy (we got her at 1 year old). She can be standoffish or even defensive with new people, and she needs continued training to feel safe and comfortable. Because of this, she requires some special attention. She also has a particularly challenging time around food, and needs space to eat, and awareness when treats or food are around. Her ideal owner will know how to read dog signs and will be able to respond supportively to her needs, or if she makes a mistake. Because of this, we haven't had her around many kids. If little kids are bringing a lot of energy, she can become very uncomfortable and overstimulated. She also would not do well with cats. So her ideal home would be cat-free, with adults who don't have kids, or have bigger kids with lots of dog experience. We love her and are committed to finding her a good home. We are currently welcoming a baby, which is why we are not able to continue the type of training she needs. But she deserves the best life and her next owner will be very lucky! She is spayed, shots up to date, rescued from Jackson Animal shelter at 1 year old, very healthy, we have all her records. Please let me know if you have any questions.
