Private Investigator Needed
Jobs
Corpus Christi TX
Description
We are a PI firm located in Corpus Christi, Texas. We've been in business for umpty-bump years and are known for outstanding customer service and a terrific reputation. We're seeking self-driven individuals to come on with our organization as investigators. Although no experience is necessary, experience will be a definite plus. If you have no specific experience, hardy character traits ARE required. These include the ability to persevere, a strong ability to manage one's own time and efforts, a desire to see a job done well and efficiently, a willingness to learn, coachability, etc. You will be tasked with locating witnesses and other "missing" persons, executing covert surveillance, conducting background/criminal investigations and asset searches and many other similar missions. You will be trained, but you will NOT be micromanaged. You will be expected to be self-motivated enough to require minimum supervision, but will be provided with all of the support that you need to do what needs to be done to be successful. Most of what we do has a likelihood of winding up being used in a court proceeding, so a strict adherence to truth, ethics and accuracy are completely non-negotiable. Although you will not be micromanaged, you will be expected to communicate your efforts and the results of your efforts timely and regularly. You will need to be organized and keep track of your own hours and mileage. Depending on experience, we pay between $15 and $45 per hour, plus $.58 per mile when the use of your vehicle is required for a case. You must have a clean criminal record (you will go through an FBI background check), you must demonstrate a strong, independent work ethic and you must be willing to work hours that almost certainly will NOT be 8-5. A strong background in internet searching/database usage is required, as well as computer and internet access in your home. You'll need a video camera with zoom capabilities, reliable (and preferably, relatively non-descript) transportation, and an outstanding dose of common sense and the ability to think outside the box. Problem-solving should be something that you find scintillating, not troublesome. A familiarity with how the court systems work will also be a plus. We will provide you with broad outlines of our clients' timelines and precise information on our clients' expectations and will expect you to perform within those, but outside of that you will be working on your own, at your own pace, on your own schedule. We will obviously review your results and reports and will coach you and help you re-calibrate when necessary to adhere to our standards and guidelines, but your day-to-day efforts will be directed by you alone. No one is going to be looking over your shoulder. If you need that, we don't really need you. Although we have offices, you will generally be working out of your own home. You will be doing research, background checks, etc. via your own internet access using online databases we utilize and that we will provide you access to. You will also need access to MS Office, including Word, Excel and Access. If you're interested in this opportunity, send your resume along with a cover letter explaining how you believe who you are, what you know and what you can do is a fit with the above and we'll re-contact you for a chat. Submissions without a cover letter will not be considered. It's possible that we can conduct our first session via Zoom or some similar platform. Ultimately, we'll want to meet with you face-to-face. We're excited to meet you and chat with you about how we might be able to work together.
