WORCESTER, MA — A Gloucester man was arraigned Tuesday on charges including second-degree murder following the beating death in April of a Worcester man at a state treatment facility in Bridgewater. Michael Robinson, 42, of Gloucester, has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot), according to Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz. Robinson was ordered held without bail ahead of his next court appearance on Jan. 22, according to Cruz. Just after 10:30 p.m. on April 13, guards at the Massachusetts Treatment Center in Bridgewater responded to a bathroom at the facility after a report of a fight. They found Scott Wonoski, 43, of Worcester, bleeding on the floor of the bathroom. Wonoski died several hours after the fight at a hospital in Brockton of blunt force injures to the head and torso, according to the medical examiner.
