1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized In Birmingham Shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A double shooting in Birmingham Tuesday resulted in the death of a 26-year-old man, while another victim remains hospitalized. The shooting occurred just after 3:30 p.m. at 7306 3rd Avenue North. Police received notice of 12 shots fired at the location, and arrived to find that two victims had been taken to UAB Hospital via private vehicle. Kenneth Wayne Austin, Jr. died at UAB Hospital shortly after the shooting. Police do not have any suspects and are still investigating the incident.
