Morning, neighbors! It's me again, Kathy Cioffi, your host of the Atlanta Daily. First, today's weather: A little morning rain; cloudy. High: 50 Low: 42. Here are the top stories in Atlanta today: Atlanta City Council President Felicia Moore will face off against City Council member Andre Dickens in a Nov. 30 runoff election to determine the next mayor of Atlanta. Since neither candidate received 50 percent plus one vote to win, voters will return to the polls at the end of the month. A variety of other Atlanta races also will be decided Nov. 30, including the seats Moore and Dickens currently occupy — Moore as City Council president and Dickens as a council at-large Post 3 member. Dickens claimed second place in the mayoral contest by beating former Mayor Kasim Reed by just over 400 votes. (Atlanta Patch)Just in time for the holidays, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will open a pop-up shop at the site of its historic Ponce de Leon location, closed since a February fire destroyed the building. Acquired by Shaquille O'Neal in 2016 as part of his Papa John's Pizza franchise locations, the fire-damaged Ponce de Leon site is slated for demolition this week. Krispy Kreme plans to open the temporary shop in December and will soon release details regarding an opening date, hours and the menu.
