Hi everyone! My name is Yuma, I will be giving Bomba dance lessons. Bomba is an Afro-Puertorrican genre with more than 400 years of existence in Puerto Rico it was brought by our African ancestors. It consists on dancing, singing, and playing the drums, maracas and cuás. Lessons will be 1hr, you’ll learn about the history of the instruments, our African ancestors, how it is played today in Puerto Rico, the songs, rhythms, basic steps and how to improvise with your body.
