9½ month old heeler mix (with either lab or Kelpie) needs a new home. I adopted her two months ago with the purpose of training her as a service dog, but she is not taking to the tasks I need her to preform, due to her need for socialization. She is scared of just about everything (except for her family members), and needs someone with more knowledge that can work it out of her. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines (minus her second Bordatella), microchipped (I will switch it into her new owner's name upon adoption), very healthy, no parasites or health concerns, etc. She is incredibly smart and a quick learner - very active, makes an EXCELLENT guard dog that will defend her owner and property instinctually, and loves to play ball/fetch. I have taught her many commands in the two months that I have had her, and she is 99% potty trained. She needs someone who can work on socializing her, someone who can keep her busy, no kids (heelers are anxious and nippy at times due to needing to herd), and needs someone with an active lifestyle, as she wants to run, run, run, and play play, play! Definitely NOT an apartment dog. I am located in Bremerton.
