Join us for a celebration of our new educational facility at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation. Enjoy an afternoon of free food, beverages, music, exhibits, and more as we introduce the WMC community to our new educational space. This educational space at the Jacobs Center will invite students and community groups to participate in interactive workshops centered on the history of the women's movement and the power of grassroots activism. Individuals will walk away with an understanding of how to create positive change in their communities and will have built an appreciation for the women who have pushed for social change to occur. The space will also host a new internship program for teen girls of color. This new program will connect high school students to the Women's Museum and provide interns with the opportunity to acquire vital skills in museum and nonprofit environments. The program includes training, direct work experience, professional development, and a mentorship program that connects interns with key Women's Museum of California staff.
