Put on your own oxygen mask! We teach science-backed tools using mindfulness, self-compassion & play to help calm your nervous system! Do you have a child with sensory needs?Is it hard to know how to care for yourself in the midst of a difficult moment? If so, JOIN US in a 4-week exploration of science-backed mindfulness, self-compassion and playful tools to help calm your own nervous system. We will cover: What our nervous system is telling us WE needWhy self-compassion is key to caring for othersTools for calming our own nervous systemThe power of play to transform a momentWe will practice: mindful check-ins, daily meditations, rhythmic movement, self-compassion, mindful walking, non-judgment, curiosity, kindness, and forgiveness...We will share: laughter, stories, our mistakes, what we are learning, our successes!Dates: November 18, Dec 2, 9, and 16th (learn tools to bring into the holidays!) Time: Thursdays, 6:15pm - 7:45pm (an hour & a half of self-care!) Location: Harmony in Motion Studio, Ann Arbor, MI Your super fun and amazing instructors: Tarisa Tugun - Tarisa is a pediatric occupational therapist specializing in sensory integration and it is her mission to make families' lives easier! She is also the owner of Sparks Adventure Club which offers running clubs and outdoor experiences that are thoughtful, empowering and fun, fun, fun! Andrea Weid - Andrea is an occupational therapist, nationally certified health & wellness coach, and a certified mindfulness teacher for A Course in Mindful Living. She absolutely loves working with people on their change-making journey and believes that kindness, self-compassion and mindfulness are the glue that holds lasting change together. To honor this, properly fitted masks will be required indoors at all times and proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID test (within 24 hrs) should be brought to the first class. Without proof of vaccination, a negative COVID test is required before each of the four classes.
