Description
Job description The Maintenance Handyman is to insure the maintenance and upkeep of all Miller Swim School Facilities, both internally and externally Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour Position will start part-time and work into full-time as training progresses. Management opportunities and pay increases will become available in due time. Responsibilities and Duties: Staff Relations Close working relationship with the Facilities Manager and all Miller Swim School Leadership Maintenance and Repairs Facilities management go-to; handle requests for both facilities (repairs, furniture, general maintenance and cleaning, weather related needs, promotional signage, etc). Conduct and document regular facilities inspections and Tulsa Health Department reports Plan and manage facility services such as cleaning, waste disposal, weather preparations, and parking. Ensure necessary product for cleaning and pool maintenance are readily available and coordinate with Facility Manager to ensure all necessary orders are made for future use and necessity Clean facilities by removing debris Perform maintenance and light repairs submitted by tenants Perform routine landscaping as needed Undertake light installation/changes Repair equipment or appliances as needed Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks Be available for weekend/evening emergencies as they arise Required Qualifications: Be an advocate for the core values of the company: Integrity, Audacity, Grit, Servant Leadership, and Teaching & Learning Highly organized, attention to detail, effective time management skills, strong follow through. Ability to lead projects, multi-task and work with minimal supervision, and consistently meet deadlines. Required to transport themselves to and from locations, meetings, pick-up supplies, equipment, etc. must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills and team player. Presents a positive attitude, flexibility and adaptability in our fast-paced and high-energy environment. Strong commitment to learning, growth and continuous improvement - there is a lot to learn in this position, and training will be continuous and on-going to ensure the employee is well-versed in all facility maintenance needs should the opportunity arise for promotion. Exhibit a "no task is too small" attitude throughout the day, ensuring all tasks are handled with care and a positive attitude. Education/Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience with physical maintenance Must be able to successfully handle multiple tasks, often with conflicting priorities Working knowledge of facilities management best practices is also desirable. Willingness and readiness to accept new responsibilities and other duties as conditions warrant.
