WE INVITE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROFESSIONALS TO JOIN US FOR JCCEO's TEACHER INTERVIEW DAY AT SALVATION ARMY ON 11/10/21! The Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity (JCCEO) is one of over 1000 Community Action Agencies nationwide, all created by the Economic Opportunity Act (EOA), which Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law on August 20, 1964, to wage a national "War on Poverty." The goal of the act was to encourage communities to organize and use available resources to help improve the conditions in which people live, learn, and work. This Fall, on 11/10/21, we will have our Teacher Interview Day hosted at Salvation Army 2015 26th Ave N Birmingham, AL 35234 with sessions from 9 am to 11 am and 1:00 pm to 3:00pm. We accept applicants age 19 years + with a High School Diploma/GED or higher Education. Positions are located throughout Jefferson County at our Head Start and Pre-K Development Centers.
