Looking for folks interested in food/housing cooperative

Description
Hello! My partner and I are looking for likeminded people to come together around a property and idea here in longmont. The general mission is for people to cooperate in such a way as everyone benifits, particularly in the areas of food and housing. What this may look like is flexible but here are a few examples: Cohousing Development from the ground up--- Similar to the Bohn farm cohousing development that seems to be stalling it would involve : ---purchasing a subdividable plot with or without a house on it. ---Devoloping it so that it in fact could be subdivided. aka utilties/infrastructure ---Actually subdivide and each participant taking ownership under a charter that established rules such as house size, setbacks etc. ---Each owner(s) developing their lot within those parameters. I would imagine parameters that were a small house on a large lot with a focus on gardens, potentially communal garden and communal house (especially if there is an exisiting house) ---This would require well qualified and asset heavy investors/members and would require a high degree of litigation, coordination and all kinds of goverment interaction, but could leave each member with a cute custom home with 1-2 acres of potentially irrigatable land adjacent to longmont in a community setting all for potentially around 400--500k a household. Talk about a bargain! ---There are currently several lots available like this and too me represent the ideal situation but also the hardest and least likely The next situation that nicely bookends the other end of the spectrum is a situation more unipolar in design. Multifamily complex to cohousing conversion. There are and likely will be.. 5-8 unit multifamily complexes that go on sale in longmont in the 1-2 million dollar range. I personally would likely be able to purchase one of these myself and rent out the units to people that are looking for a more close knit community with their neighbors. The rent would be competitively priced and I would also want to integrate aspects like a food cooperative where we buy certain things in bulk such as grains fish etc in common. Members should also be interested in receiving a CSA from the farm that I work at. Members should also be interested in being more that regular neighbors in a multiunit complex and instead I would seek out budding families as well. This gets at a need for the very real need for close (literally) community when starting a family. So all in all it would involve my household being the stewards in a way of this complex and trying to create a container that would benefit all involved. These are just two examples and I believe either or something in between would benefit me, my future family as well as all of those involved. Reach out it this resonates with you and you would like to pursue things further. My timeline is I would like to make a move purchase wise in the spring of 2022. Thanks for reading Alex
