Description
NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven police officer turned herself in Tuesday on felony charges of domestic violence, according to Interim Police Chief Renee Dominguez.
Officer Monique Moore was charged with second-degree harassment, third-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of felony third-degree computer crimes, according to a news release from Dominguez.
Dominguez said that members of the Internal Affairs Division were "alerted to potential criminal actions committed" by Moore on Oct. 4., and "determined there was probable cause to obtain two separate arrest warrants for separate but related incidents."
One warrant charges Moore with family violence offenses and the other with the computer crimes, according to Dominguez.
Moore, a patrol officer for seven years, has been on administrative leave since Oct. 6.
A parallel internal affairs investigation of "Moore's conduct" is under way, Dominguez said. Both warrants are sealed by the court, she said.
