Retail Inventory Coordinator Artists and therapists need products to perform services, and the full luxury retail experience at Gene Juarez thrives on fully-stocked shelves and the perfect placement of signage. The Retail Inventory Coordinator ensures that clients, artists, and therapists alike are never without the products they need. This person is focused, cares about the little details, yet still maintains a high level of efficiency. This position supports several salons during the week, making a scheduled visit to each assigned location approximately once per week. REPORTS TO: Distribution Manager CORE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Order and receive inventory requisitions Stock, organize, and clean retail areas throughout the day Manage excess merchandise (retail product returns & overstock) Conduct regular inventory reporting Update retail display shelves and marketing displays per written/visual guide Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of retail product shelves and product storage areas Participate in physical inventories at all locations, including the Gene Juarez Distribution Center Provide occasional training support to managers and on-location support employees Follow safety procedures REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and inventory management skills Ability to work independently and in a team setting Ability to follow written/visual instructions with little aid Active listening and written communication skills Knowledge of or ability to learn product and service basics Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel; ability to learn new computer program(s) Flexible scheduling availability DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Previous visual merchandising experience Previous experience working with large amounts of inventory and requisition software Previous successful experience working for a salon or spa WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation Work is indoors and generally in a low to mid-level noise environment Position involves frequent movement about the salon, with frequent bending and stooping required to move product. Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time and move throughout the salon. Must have the ability to sustain tasks of a moderately physical nature (lift, bend, and repetitive motion) Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to move heavier items up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance. Employees should use proper ergonomic techniques to prevent potential injury. Position does not directly involve working with hazardous chemicals or objects, but occasionally may face exposure to such chemicals, objects, or fumes (e.g. cleaning up a spill). TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Must have reliable transportation to be able to travel between assigned salon locations
