GAITHERSBURG, MD — As voters walked up to the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, candidates ambled around in the rain offering shelter under umbrellas and tents, and handing out pamphlets. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and election results are expected around 9:30 p.m. on the city's website. Voters are casting ballots for mayor and two City Council positions. Inside, voters headed into the gym to cast their ballots. Candidates for mayor and City Council had posters and yard signs strewn across the park, in dividers and next to sidewalks.
