NORTH JERSEY — Anthony Bucco will retain his State Senate seat, with the Associated press declaring him the winner Tuesday in the 25th Legislative District. Republican incumbents Aura Dunn and Brian Bergen also hold commanding leads in the General Assembly race. Subscribe to Patch for local news updates to your inbox. (It's free): https://patch.com/subscribe Bucco received 37,299 votes with 162 of 176 precincts reporting. Democratic opponent Jeffrey Grayzel generated 20,535 votes. The AP has not declared a winner in the 25th District's assembly race. But Dunn (36,086 votes) and Bergen (35,663) hold a significant lead with 162 of 176 precincts reporting. Democratic candidates Lauren Barnett has 21,263 votes, and Veres received 20,488 votes. This year's elections provided more ways to vote than ever before, and also a slate of hard-fought, contested races.
