Here are the top stories in Chattanooga today: After a 19-month absence due to 2020 shortages, the beloved butterflies are going to return to the Tennessee Aquarium. They will make their appearance just in time for the holidays on November 5. (Chattanooga Pulse) Allen Towry and Aali Yarbrough were announced as UTC's Homecoming King and Queen for the 2021 school year.(The University Echo) Chattanooga organization, Semillas, has created a Day of the Dead altar in Coolidge park to help loved ones in honoring a holiday. The altar was over six feet tall, and a pathway in the park took the 100 people in attendance to where they adored photos of dozens of loved ones who have passed. (WTVC) Catoosa County is set to vote on a tax district referendum called the Redevelopment Powers Act. The referendum will give the local county and city governments the power to create Tax Allocated Districts.
