Sweeper Operator Required Qualifications • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of the street sweeper/assigned equipment. • Responsible for pre and post trip inspections according to company guidelines and DOT requirements and law. • Maintains and turns in monthly DOT logs. Maintains and turns in daily reports as required for completion of a route and service day. • Responsible for cleanliness and appearance of assigned equipment. • Responsible for maintaining personal appearance according to company guidelines. • Communicate with customers and field superintendents and foreman to determine their sweeping requirements. • Assists in planning sweeping routes to ensure efficient and effective sweeping. • Recognizes machine wear and changes brooms and brushes as needed to perform sweeping services. Makes routine on site repairs to equipment as necessary. • Abide by all traffic safety laws and speed limits. • Performs other duties as needed.
