I have a sub-adult male Savannah Monitor that I am looking to rehome. His name is Monte. I like to call him Monte the Monitor. He is a little over a year old. I'm not sure on exact age, but I ordered him in August of 2020 and he was only the size of my hand. Monte is now around 2 feet long from head to tail! Monte has quite the personality and makes me laugh. I have kept him as a look don't touch animal so he doesn't like being handled. You can pet him while he is chowing down on some superworms or other insects, but that is about it. I've had a lot of respect for him and just haven't pushed his limits or put the time in to tame him. He is really food motivated and I enjoy throwing a bunch of crickets in his enclosure and watching him hunt them down. Please do your research or have knowledge on monitor lizards before considering taking him in. A large enclosure will be needed as he can get 4 to 5 feet long. I currently have him in a 6x2x2 with plenty of substrate for digging. Enclosure isn't included. Monte's rehoming fee is $100 to ensure he goes to a good home. I am located in Tullahoma, TN.
