ALTADENA, CA — Residents can begin casting their ballots now for Altadena Town Council as early voting began Tuesday. Councilmembers serve a two-year term on the council, which acts as an advisory committee to various Los Angeles County Departments, officials said. There are 16 seats on the organization, two for each Altadena census tract. Votes can be cast now through Friday, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Altadena Main Library, Bob Luas Branch Library and the Patticakes bakery on Allen Avenue. The three polling locations will be open on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., for the final day of voting. Eight seats are up for grabs this year. However, one seat does not have a candidate, while three only have the current council members running for reelection. Three seats have two candidates vying for the position, while one seat has three candidates in the race. Visit the Altadena Town Council's election website for the candidates' information.
