CUMMING, GA — Election Day is over in Cumming, and voters have cast their ballots in the 2021 municipal election. Unofficial results from Forsyth County updated at 9:17 p.m. show the incumbents taking the lead. As of midnight, City of Cumming races weren't decided. Patch will update this article on Wednesday. This year, voters in Cumming decided on races for City Council. Two people sought the position of mayor, incumbent Troy Brumbalow and William A. Stone III. As of 9:17 p.m., Brumbalow had 683 of the 887 votes. Incumbent for Council Post 1, Chad Crane, and incumbent for Council Post 2, Jason Evans, both ran unopposed for their seats. The "yes" vote for an Ed-SPLOST, or Special Local Option Sales Tax for Education, had more than 4,600 of the 6,650 votes cast.
