Bass player 20 years exp, looking for other artists and creative types

Hello, I’m a bass player with 20+ years experience writing, playing, recording, gigging, etc. I’m looking to connect with other musicians in the area who are interested in jamming and writing music, with an eye towards building a band or some kind of creative project, and who want to play more diverse music than rock. Lately I’ve been playing primarily jazz, soul, R&B, afrobeat, and other groove based music with a good vibe. It would be cool if you did too, but I’m also open to a lot of other stuff, just like I said trying to get away from playing in rock bands. I’m 33 years old, queer, neurodivergent, and a creative person. I love music on a spiritual level, it’s the thing that has kept me going and I want to give back. I have a busy work / private life but I can make time for the right people and the right projects. I can play just about anything, I have a lot of songwriting experience, and I know a decent amount of theory and harmony. I also have good equipment (aside from a good amp for gigging which I am waiting for an excuse to buy :) ). I’m also just a really nice, kind person and easy to get along with.
