Job Summary Responsible for preparing metal parts to be cleansed and coated with sulfuric acid solution and molten zinc while providing support to the warehouse operations. Responsibilities and Duties - Load and unload metal/steel material in baskets/hooks - Immerse objects in chemical solution to clean surface of scale foreign matter - Dip objects into tank of molten metal to coat objects using hoist - Use of grinder for removal of excessive coating - Inspect objects for even and complete coating and return defective objects for reprocessing Qualifications and Skills - Ability to read and understand galvanizing process - Ability to work independently, detail oriented with strong communication skills - Job training will be provided Physical Requirements - Standing - frequent to continuous - Walking - occasional to frequent - Bending/stooping/squatting/kneeling - frequent - Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. - Position is wrist and forearm labor intensive Personal Protective Equipment The employee must wear approved safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toed shoes at all times.
