Description
Male singer with 20+ years experience fronting cover/party bands checking the temperature to see if anyone out there wants to put together a trio (Bss/Drm/Gtr) to play local bars, clubs, casinos, weddings, private parties, etc. I cover a wide range of styles, selecting songs that: 1) People recognize 2) People can dance to 3) Gets us hired. Styles range from: Funk, Pop, Disco, Classic Rock, Soul, R&B, Reggae, Jazz, and some Country. Sample Set List: 1) Feelin' Alright - Joe Cocker 2) Born To Be Wild - Steppenwolf 3) For What It's Worth - Buffalo Springfield 4) Long Train Runnin' - Doobie Bros 5) Take Me To The River - Al Green 6) Play That Funky Music - Wild Cherry 7) Take On Me - A-Ha (MTV Unplugged) 8) No Woman, No Cry - Bob Marley 9) I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers 10) Uptown Funk - Bruno Mars **Most importantly, I know how to create moments that gets audiences engaged and leaves them wanting more. The idea is to work as little or as much as we choose to. **The other idea is to spread a message of love, which I think we desperately need today.** Here are some prerequisites that should resonate with you before replying: 1) Pocket is king (wrong notes played in the pocket feel better than right notes played with no pocket) 2) You're sober, you want to work, to have fun, and you play for the audience (not just yourself). 3) This is entertainment - We're all artists, but you understand that a gig is a job not an art exhibit. 4) You are PRESENT. You LISTEN and follow the singer (or soloist) and can improvise in the moment/in the pocket. 5) Familiar with standard jazz repertoire. We'll need this for cocktail hour at weddings. Disclaimers: 1) I’m starting this project from scratch. 2) Sold my PA system during the pandemic, but kept my mics/cords. 3) Full time van lifer since pandemic and no longer have a rehearsal space. If you're interested, and find no deal breakers in my disclaimer, please reply to this ad with your audio or video; please send what you think would be closest to the type of songs listed above. Tell me what you're looking for in a professional working relationship. Here's a link to some of my demos: https://www.bandmix.com/matt78/ Thanks for reading this far. Hope to chat soon. One Love.
