The Shop Mechanic is responsible for coordinating repairs, prioritizing projects, state inspections, and maintain service orders logs. Duties and Responsibilities not limited to: • Ensure that all construction equipment, fleet vehicles, and heavy vehicles are in good working order & compliance with local & state regulations. • Works directly with Project Managers to schedule service and repairs. • Ensure that all mechanics produce quality work, safely, in an acceptable time frame • Prioritize equipment service and repairs and is able to delegate work to other mechanics. • Correct completion of all job-specific paperwork & employee-related paperwork including timesheet verification, daily work reports, and Safety Meeting Forms. • Perform daily visual & weekly shop supply inventory counts. • Perform various daily shop duties. • Comply with company safety standards. Requirements • Mechanical experience with diesel and combustion engines • Electrical and hydraulic diagnostics and repair • Basic knowledge & operation of construction equipment • Meet the physical demands required to work in a mechanical environment • Valid driver’s license; CDL license is a plus Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal background search, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.
