Duties include: Performs a variety of duties ranging from golf course maintenance to semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Performs course set-up duties to include setting tee markers and cups, moving ropes and signs, maintaining ball washers, tee boxes, brushes, sand/seed containers, and cleans flower beds. 2. Water and fertilize greens and other turf surfaces and areas. 3. Performs basic preventative maintenance on equipment following instruction from GC Maintenance Mechanic or 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Pick up trash and debris on golf course. 2. Other duties as required. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Basic mechanical and hand-eye coordination skills. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of methods and materials used in golf course maintenance. Familiarity with small golf course equipment. 1. Consistently at work on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. 2. Timely completion of tasks and assignments. 3. Above average attention to detail. 4. Operates machinery using safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly. NORMAL WORKING HOURS and DAYS: Full-time. Mon –Fri; 5:30 a.m. – 2:00p.m. and regular weekend rotation. (Days/hours will vary by season); 30 minute meal break; overtime as required.
