Position Summary: The position of Housekeeping/cleaning/packing requires special attention to details and plays a key role in our ability to provide sanitary professional cleaning of clients’ personal property. The individual employed must be prepared to reach and maintain a very high level of cleanliness and sanitation within our facility. This individual must also possess the qualities and attitude to uphold a teamwork approach with the rest of the staff. *Skills and Qualities to Develop to be Highly Sought After Housekeeper 1. Organization. Having organizational skills enables housecleaning/personal property cleaning to arrange things in an orderly and unique way. 2. Laundry Skills. With this skill, housekeepers will be able to handle glass, cloths, wood, and other personal belongings on a consistent basis. They should handle them carefully to avoid damaging guests’ personal materials. 3. Honesty. Cleaners/Packers can make mistakes sometimes, or encounter accidents while on duty. They may break a glass or crack a plate while washing. They should admit their error, explain the situation and make sure it never happens again. 4. Attention to Detail. Cleaners/packers need the ability to pay attention, even to the smallest details. They should be able to assess the cleaning and ensure everything is properly cleaned and in its right place. Taking photos of and identifying damaged items before they start work so that after the day’s work, they can ensure that all items are inspected before packing back these ensure that protection of clients personal property is being prioritized. Complete inventories and other filling/tracking reports with organized effectiveness. Critical thinking, Active listening,Good judgment and decision making are important qualities for Cleaners/Packers. Staying on track with work orders in a timely manner. Share decision making. Share updates on your job as well as excellent communication skills with your project manager. They should handle tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Always be ready to handle requests in the moment with a positive attitude. 5. Active Listening. The ability to listen to the project manager’s orders makes communication easier when working as a cleaner/packer. Must be able to communicate clearly on a flexible and ever-bettering team of multifaceted workers in the process of rebuilding the lives of victims of fire or water damage. Must be a sociable individual who can easily make friends and engage with people in conversation and possess kind qualities and attitude to uphold a teamwork approach with the rest of the staff. Must have professional Speech-Language! As a true professional, and who is self-motivated and can take initiative to complete tasks to completion. 6. Packing: Properly packing is a must. Cleaners/Packers must be teachable to learn to pack so that our clients personal contents is safely packed so not to damage during transporting in a box truck to the home. Contents inventory procedures must be followed. Contents cleaning procedures must be followed. Taking photos as well as paper inventory, and having the knowledge to assist deciphering the salvage-ability of personal property. 7. Reliability. A good housekeeper is always reliable, loyal and dedicated enough to work excellently for the employer. It is important to work reliably with the experience you got from your previous job. When you are reliable, your employer will trust you, and you should work devotedly and with great zeal in order to keep your job going. Anticipate problems in advance and problem solve in a timely manner to keep projects flowing smoothly. Coordinating abilities and availability to always be willing to serve our clients with professionalism. 8. Cleaning. During your cleaning job section, you will have hard goods to clean, linen to launder, ironing and folding and lots more work to do. Your cleaning skills will help you to work productively within a short period of time, and you will be able to keep every part of the room clean and shining to the admiration of clients and management. 9. Hardworking. Cleaning needs to put in the time and energy necessary for a polished content cleaning. Being hardworking means you have to work tirelessly to keep the environment where you work neat. The quantity of strength you show at work should be increased in order to make your employer happy. 10. Caring. A careless housekeeper can easily break or lose valuable things while handling the usual daily chores. However, a housekeeper who is caring will handle things with utmost care as if those things were his or hers.
