Description
This is a full-time landscaping, general labor, and arborist position requiring experience and knowledge in these fields.
The job site has a lot of steep terrain and cliffs. It includes eeverything from weeding and removing invasive species to cutting trees and building trails on steep slopes. Must not be afraid of heights.
Must have your own arborist equipment if interested in performing arborist work.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Pulling weeds and invasive species.
Clearing hillsides and farm of trees/brush with a chainsaw.
Planting trees/plants.
Building trails.
Misc labor.
You will be expected to:
Be communicative, professional, reliable, and punctual.
Be in good physical shape and able to carry heavy loads.
Be able to hike difficult and steep terrain.
Follow instructions.
Work rain or shine.
Accurately identify plant species.
Work unattended.
Work 35 hours per week.
You are expected to have:
Your own phone.
A bank account.
Your own reliable transportation.
Your own arborist equipment, maintained in good working condition (for arborist position).
Beginning pays starts at $22/hr for easy labor (weeding, etc.) and increases substantially for hard labor (trail building) and arborist work. Repelling experience is a plus, but not necessary. Quality work is expected and will be rewarded.
Position includes 2 weeks paid vacation per year.
This is not a cash position.
No smoking permitted on the job site.
