Unleash your competitive side with a co-ed soccer tournament, as we group into teams as we fight to crown the champion! The UIU DMV Men of Obiagu invite our UIU family to a friendly match of football! Come with a competitive spirit ready to join a winning team. The day will run as a series of 15-minute matches 15 minutes, before we declare the UIU DMV Football Champions of 2021. Q: Do I have to be Igbo or a UIU member to attend? A: NO. Our programs and events are open to all cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Umu Igbo Unite (UIU), was founded in 2005/ Since its inception, UIU has grown to over 5,000 members nationwide with 13 active chapters: Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, DMV, Boston, Tristate (NY, NJ, CT), Detroit, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Twin Cities, Bay Area, Austin, and Miami. Umu Igbo Unite is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization that promotes cultural preservation and appreciation, professional development, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement among Igbos in the diaspora.
