Tau Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated Present our 4th Annual Healthy Hearts Healthy Minds: One Beat at a Time Program The purpose of the program is to educate our community on cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and stroke prevention. The population of focus are adults aged 35 and over that have a personal or family history of hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol. Tau Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated presents their 4th Annual Healthy Hearts and Healthy Minds: One Beat at a Time Program. This event is co-sponsored by the Mu Beta Phi Military Fraternity, Newport News Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and the Peninsula Pan-Hellenic Council. This event is a hybrid event that will be offered in person at Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton Virginia and offered via Zoom. Masks are required. COVID-19 Precautions in place. The participants must be as follows: 35 years or older, personal, or family history of high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease. Tau Chapter, Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. is one of the chapters of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. We are recognized as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service. We were organized on March 30, 1957 in Hampton, VA by Mary Louise Mercy. Tau Chapter has grown continuously in strength, unity, dignity and accomplishments. It is with pride and gratitude that Tau Chapter, Chi Eta Phi Sorority is actively involved in our community providing health fairs, blood pressure screening, school supplies and Thanksgiving basket drives, healthcare education, nursing scholarships, mentoring and tutoring middle, high school and nursing students, and upholding our motto "Service for Humanity." Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., is a professional nursing organization of registered nurses and student nurses that provide Service for Humanity. We are internationally recognized, and our vision includes developing healthy communities through advocacy, collaboration, education, leadership, research, and service.
