Description

Nobody understands hiking and backpacking like you do. But you also believe in God. Where are your fellow travelers and campers? I am seeking some collaborators: Want to do something unique while serving God? Are you a rugged individualist, who loves the mountains? Has your Faith Life been missing that special something? Are you lonely or bored---or, conversely, rather popular and comfortable---and, yet, you just wish for a certain type of fellowship in God's sight that matches your love of nature, of valleys, and of lakes? Let's build Saint Brigid of Kildare's Mobile Chapel. I am a priest in the Traditional Anglican Church, starting this project in Upper Bucks. My Bishop has given me the go-ahead to build her. I have built many off-grid structures, including a large two-story cabin for my own family, sheds, water towers, etcetera. I am content to build the Mobile Chapel, alone. However, if you want to be a Warden, a Steward, an Altar Server, a Lector, a Charitable Minister, and you are seeking a witness of God that characterizes your love of His original creation---the beautiful outdoors, then you should help me to build this chapel! I will, meanwhile, teach you the Church services in our Book of Common Prayer of 1928---our most holy souce of the Liturgy and Eucharistic celebration. We will help the poor and the needy. We will pray with many others, who need Jesus. You will be spiritually fulfilled as we build this wheeled ark, park it, perform our services, and bring people to Christ in the intrepid outdoors! Besides that, let's do campfires, hikes, walks, and trips. I can also teach you carpentry. I ask that you be committed to making a diligent use of your time and will use this experience to sustain and improve your Faith as our parishioner. We are not a sight-seeing opportunity or an adventure group. We are a ministry. We are not a cult. We are an actual parish, a church plant, headed by a real conservative Anglican priest, an orthodox father with kids, with a totally unique exciting adventurous ambitious idea. Everything is brand new with this idea, but if you send me your info and tell me about yourself, I will send you links to show you that I have quite a background in public ministry, running an accomplished non-profit apostolate. I'm not an amateur at this sort of thing, and you'd want to work with me building this on-the-go parish! Please e-mail me your name, contact info, background description, and why you would like to collaborate on this project. Don't be shy. ------Psalm 65: 5-13------ "...O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea: Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power: Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people. They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing."
