Please join us at our 2021 Annual Hero Luncheon benefiting the Atlantic City Police Foundation on December 3, 2021 at Council Oak You are cordially invited to the 2021 Annual Atlantic City Hero luncheon supporting the Atlantic City Police Foundation at Council Oak Steak & Seafood, at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Those that attended our prior sold-out events enjoyed the hospitality of our venue, participated in our auction, won great door prizes and celebrated our honorees. Retired Atlantic City Police Chiefs Henry White, Jr. and Ernest Jubilee will be honored for their outstanding efforts in the community. Other members of the Atlantic City Police Department will be recognized for their efforts. (Ret.) Chief Henry White Jr. joined the Atlantic City Police Department in 1985 and retired as Chief of Police in 2020, 35 years later and after serving 7 years in that role. During his distinguished career, Chief White served as a homicide detective assigned to the Prosecutor’s office, was a narcotics officer, served as a supervisor in Internal Affairs, supervised the ACPD’s casino hotel investigative unit, commanded the ACPD hostage negotiations team, was a Bravo platoon commander for all uniformed police officers, commanded the emergency response team and so much more. He is a graduate of William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He is also a graduate of the West Point Command and Leadership Program, the Northwest University School of Police Staff and Command and the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Institute. He was certified by the NJ Chief of Police as an Accredited Command Executive (Advanced). Chief White has received numerous law enforcement and community awards during his career. Chief White remains active in the community, serving on the NAACP Executive Board and the Board of the Coalition for a Safe Community. He was the co-founder of the Atlantic City Police Foundation and serves on its executive Board. (Ret.) Chief Ernest Jubilee joined the Atlantic City Police Department in 1973, at age 19 as an undercover narcotics detective. In 1976, he was assigned to uniform patrol. In 1979, he was assigned to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit as a homicide detective. During his distinguished career, Chief Jubilee held various positions as Supervisor of Narcotics and Homicide Units and served as the Department’s Public information Officer. He was also the Juvenile and Patrol Bureau Commander and served as Deputy Chief of Patrol, Support Services and Detectives. In 2010, he was promoted to Chief of Police where he remained until his retirement in 2013. He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and FBI Law Enforcement Executive Leadership Institute. Chief Jubilee has received several exceptional duty, meritorious service and community awards over the years. Since 2015, Chief Jubilee is the Coordinator of Public Safety for the Atlantic City Public School District and is a Certified School Safety Specialist. Chief Jubilee was the co-founder of the Atlantic City Police Foundation and serves on its executive board. We are pleased to host this event at Council Oak Steak & Seafood, at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, known for its charitable works, joins in partnership with the Atlantic City Police Foundation in saluting regional leaders who have given back to the public safety community. Our Hero luncheon will raise funds for non-budgeted Atlantic City Police Department equipment, programs and initiatives. Council Oak General Manager, Andrew Skilton, and Executive Chef, Quincy Logan, have planned a delicious menu and look forward to welcoming you. The Atlantic City Police Foundation was established in 2014 by current and former police officers and community leaders to improve public safety in Atlantic City by assisting the City and the Atlantic City Police Department in funding worthwhile programs, initiatives, training and equipment that would otherwise not be feasible under the City budget.  During the short time the Atlantic City Police Foundation has been in existence, we have had a meaningful impact on the safety of Atlantic City Police officers through the purchase of 57 rifle resistant bulletproof vests designed to provide first responders protection against rifle rounds, vest mounted tourniquets for the SWAT team, 100 self-aid kits, acquired EpiPen’s, acquired bicycles, bike equipment, uniforms and racks to support the ACPD’s Park and Ride Program, helped equip the Police Surveillance Center with monitors, furnishings and necessary equipment, improved the Police Press Room, purchased a surveillance system for the PAL Building, purchased gym equipment for our officers, purchased an amplified speaker system to host outdoor movies with the community, purchased orthopedic beds for all current and retired ACPD K-9’s, purchased two new K-9 dogs, provided 170 coats to Atlantic City children as part of the warm coats initiative, paid for the printing of the Atlantic City Merchants Guide and 2017 Annual ACPD report and continuously supported various community policing initiatives of the Police Department, PAL and the Police Explorers.
