Bestie Friendsgiving! Grab your bestie and join us for lunch at Porta on the day after Thanksgiving to decorate a set of cookies together! Bestie Friendsgiving! What a wonderful way to spend time with your bestie... having lunch and decorating a sweet set of cookies together! We suggest you trade heart cookies at the end of class! In this cookie class we will decorate: 1 Yeti 1 Rainbow cloud 1 Pizza 2 Hearts As in all of our cookie workshops, Dani provides a step by step "how to ice" demonstration of each cookie, then each participant decorates their own version. Lunch at Porta (with a few selections to choose from), cookies, icing, demonstrations, decorating candy and all supplies included. Participants take home a box of cookies they decorated. (beverages not included in ticket price) One cookie decorating kit per person. Only ticket holders will be seated at our icing tables. All seating will be socially distant. Due to social distancing restrictions, parents who would like to attend with their kiddos can either purchase a ticket to ice cookies with them or reserve a table in the restaurant. We can not allow people to stand around the tables. Masks are required to be worn during the demo gathering and all Covid rules of Porta apply. Porta opens for brunch at 12pm. Please arrive between 12 and 12:15 to get your lunch orders in. Cookie class will begin promptly at 1:00 and will run until approx 2:30. All cookie supplies included. Registration for this event will close November 19th. 20 spaces available. The event will be 2.5 to 3 hours long including lunch. Lunch at Porta is included in your ticket price, beverages are extra. Kindly and generously tip your servers. COOKIE WORKSHOP FAQ: Ticketholders at Icing Tables Only: Due to room capacity and social distancing constraints we are only able to accomodate cookie icers at our icing and demo tables and in the Monk room. Timing: Please arrive any time between 12:00 and 12:15 so you can get your lunch orders in. We will give you time to eat then begin the cookie icing demos. The workshop will last for approx 2 to 2.5 hours depending on class speed of icing each cookie. We must have guests headed out by 2:45 at the latest so Porta can set up for the evening. Food & Beverage: No outside food allowed. Porta will be open serving delicious cocktails, beverages and lunch. Beverages welcome during class but we will try to clear most plates by the time cookie icing begins. Cookie Allergy Disclaimer: Sweet Dani B cookies are preservative free and are baked with the freshest ingredients... butter, eggs, sugar, flour, and a few secret ingredients that make them extra yummy. Our recipe does not include nuts but our cookies and icing is made in a kitchen where nuts are present. In the workshop we will be using various candies to decorate our cookies as well as royal icing which is made with sugar and meringue powder. Photo Release: We take lots of photos in our workshops. Please let us know if you prefer not to be photographed. Parking: Parking for Porta is Asbury Park metered parking. Dowload the Asbury Park app for ease. Refunds: Due to limited seating and the individual prep work required for each cookie icer in attendance, our cookie workshops are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you are more than welcome to transfer your seat to someone else. In some cases, we can pack up your cookies to go for you to DIY at home as an alternate option to transferring your seat, but we are otherwise not be able to offer refunds. Let us know if you are unable to attend a workshop you have registered for and we can discuss options. Snow day rescheduling or refunds will be announced as needed.
