I buy estates, liquidations, defaulted storage units, clean outs, etc… Usually I give 100 items or so to an auction house or auction site and they take 30% of the sales from those items. These auctions are great but many of them focus on a niche like collectibles, antiques, coins, vintage items, etc and what I have now is a warehouse full of everyday items. So I was thinking about ways to sell these items and don’t want to spend the next hundred weekends setting up yard sales or going to flea markets. One of the ideas was for this… Why not offer that same 30% to everyone and anyone who thinks they can sell specific items. You could work at your own pace and whenever you want. I give you one or a few items at absolutely 0 expense to you and that I want to sell for $100. You make the sale via social apps or even to a buddy, meet the buyer, collect the $ and keep 30% which in this example would be $30. If we build mutual trust and I give you a $1000 in merchandise you would then keep $300 and so on. We would start really small because I don’t know you and you don’t know me and work our way up. The items you would be selling are new and used everyday items like shoes, purses, tools, clothing, appliances, kitchenware, books, construction materials, office supplies, toys, home goods, sports equipment, fitness equipment, and so on.
