Description

Hello! If you have been looking to adopt a dog, you may have seen Milo from Hitchcock Road Animal Services in Salinas. http://www2.co.monterey.ca.us/pages/health/search/adoptable_pet_search.html He is in a foster home now to free up space at the shelter for other doggies in need, but he is still looking for his forever home! Milo is a social love bug! He is neutered, knows how to sit, and responds well to gentle redirection and positive reinforcement! Since going to his foster home on Saturday, he has had no accidents in the house, and has slept in a crate. He walks nicely on a leash with a front-clip harness and shows amazing calm when other dogs bark at him. He is slowly getting to know the six year old female dog in his foster home. Since Milo is about 70 pounds, and will get "mouthy" when excited (he will take hands gently in his mouth) and likes to give face kisses, he may not be a good choice for families with younger children. Like many shelter animals, he is very food-motivated and if there are other animals in the home his adopter should exercise caution in situations that involve food and treats. He has not shown any resource guarding with humans. If your housing and family situation allow you to consider a bully breed, please reach out to arrange to meet Milo! *In the featured photo, Milo is the dog on the left*
