Parents and other adults are welcome to sign up for our FREE 8 week course on learning to play the ukulele. No prior experience needed - just bring your own ukulele! Instruments will be available for purchase for $30 at the class. You are registering for an 8 week course. Each week, you will learn something new and build your playing skills! Commitment to all 8 weeks is neccasary. The team provides services through four distinct programs, each targeting a separate underserved population that demonstrates high potential to benefit from music therapy services. Mindful Music brings recreational and supportive music to seniors of all abilities in nursing and retirement facilities, Healing Notes treats children at Rady Children’s Hospital, Semper Sound shares music therapy with veterans struggling with disabilities or psychological challenges, such as those arising from PTSD and TBI, and Sound Minds gives music therapy to at-risk teens with young children at local schools to facilitate development and parent-child bonding.
