Discover the art of bundle dyeing with this two-hour interactive workshop where you will bundle dye a silk scarf to take home with you! About the Workshop: Discover the fundamentals of natural dyes and bundle dyeing with a two-hour course. In this interactive class, you will learn the techniques of how to bundle dye with materials from your own backyard. We will be dyeing with many items such as: marigolds, hibiscus, cosmos, onion skins, black beans, and cochineal. You will get the opportunity to bundle dye your very own silk scarf to take home while enjoying a tasty glass of wine. Invite a friend or two to enjoy the afternoon under the trees. What’s included? You are in luck! You can create even more hand dyed items for your friends, family, neighbors, etc. that day during the workshop! Pre-treated items will be available for purchase for you to bundle dye. These items will include: bamboo socks, silk scarves, and hand towels. Note: All items that are dyed during the workshop will be wet at the end. We will provide bags to take your naturally dyed creations home. About the artist: Brooke Luallen is a local artisan of Fresno, California, who has fallen in love with natural dyes. She has discovered how nature can create beauty within your everyday life. Brooke has many titles: wife, mom of two little ones, art teacher by day, and owner of Smith & Len. She is thrilled to bring the art of natural dyes to the community of Fresno.
