Visit the Senior Nutrition Garden on Ventura County Farm Day! Visit our two-acre organic polyculture farm growing 50 different varieties of fruits and vegetables! Managed by the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Foundation and maintained primarily by volunteers, all the produce harvested at our garden is donated to seniors throughout Ventura County who need it most. See how the farm uses organic, human-scale (e.g. no tractors) growing methods to cultivate, care for, and harvest all sorts of fruits and veggies! We are offering tours every half hour beginning at 10 am. SEEAG's mission is to educate students and the greater community about the farm origins of our food and agriculture’s contribution to nutritional well-being. Through a variety of education programs, SEEAG works to inspire our local communities to have a deep appreciation for agriculture and the hands and lands that feed us to ensure the future viability of agriculture in rural and urban communities. Since 2008, SEEAG has impacted the lives of over 40,000 students, 100% free of charge. In an effort to reach and educate more community members about local agriculture, SEEAG founded Farm Day in 2013, which has grown into a community-wide annual event for the entire family.
