This week-long series of lectures, student and scholarly panel discussions, film presentations, and other events is sponsored by International Services and Programs (ISP) each fall. This year’s theme is Transition, highlighting the ongoing challenges and opportunities that young people face in today’s ever-changing landscape. Some potential talking points and areas of focus for this address might include a discussion on emerging transitions in a range of areas:
Transitions and changes in gender roles over the past 30 years How gender expectations shape our world New opportunities for women in a global, high-tech workforce Advancing positive gender roles in a complex environment How young people can effectively plan for the future in an uncertain world The ways in which transitioning to a more global outlook can empower youth How COC is planning to transition and thrive in the post-pandemic era
