This year's National Day of Empowerment should be focused on rethinking and retooling sustainable outcomes for the black community! Join Urban League Twin Cities Young Professionala and Next Light Energy on Thursday, November 11th from 6PM-8PM at a beautiful venue with rich history in North Minneapolis! The First 100 registrants win a raffle for $200! Location will be announced early next week! The impact of coronavirus has been vast and devastating; its impact on public health and the economy is felt across our country and globe. Communities of color have been affected the hardest. Our response to the pandemic must be to empower communities by providing our communities with the authority, resources, and information to thrive. This year's National Day of Empowerment should be focused on rethinking and retooling sustainable outcomes focused on the 5 pillars of empowerment (health/wellness, housing, education, economics and social justice. We must hold key stakeholders accountable and rethink traditional approaches of empowering our communities! There’ll be FREE food and entertainment in addition to vendors with resources such as homeownership, entrepreneurship, technology, wealth development, health & wellness, career and college readiness!
